About Me
Herru~ I'm a 17 year old gamer who has an obsession with flubber, potatoes, cows, mooing, screeching, jellyfishes and gothic lolita's~~ I wasn't introduced to Elsword by anyone; I found one of the Elsword ads that was on the side of YouTube because it said "Play your Manga". Look here, I love my Anime and Manga... so naturally, I gave it a try. I'm not exactly sure, but I started Elsword sometime when Chung's class was released. So maybe 2012?. I recorded myself playing Elsword for the fun of it, but also to share it to those of you who just want to watch for entertainment as well. After 4 goddamn long years, I've finally made a guild which you know as [Jellyfish]
< This is what I look like :D |
Why are you called Illyma? |
If you ever heard of the Light Novel Fate Stay Night created by the company TYPE-MOON which soon after had an anime adaption, my name originates from my favourite character - Illyasveil. As for where the "ma" came from, it's derived from the word "ghost" in Vietnamese. Why did I decide to choose a ghost? It's because Illya died in Fate!! DX<
Either way, put both of those together, and it forms my name - Illyma |
My History (It's long o_o) |
When I first started Elsword, I was a complete idiot... I had no idea about how to go around. The only knowledge I had was from the old tutorial, which pretty much only showed you how to use a skill and that the basic attacks were z and x. Anything beyond that was alien to me.
My first character was a Rena. I joined the game right before when Chung's second class releases just came out. I chose her because I was too afraid of close combat and taking damage. I thought that I'd be better playing as a support. On the third day, I don't know how but I got really cocky and thought I was a Veteran, and that I was good somehow... God... I was plain stupid... I invited a school friend to join me in this foreign game that they never heard of before. We played for almost a year; our times were really good; however they stopped playing because their laptop kept having an error where the launcher couldn't "download the file path". I was left all alone in the game, and a lone crappy Grand Archer. I still loved the game (and I still do) so I went out to talk to people and make friends. Back then, we never had any such thing as Auto Party. The old party system to invite people to party was like how the sparring rooms work. You would click on the Dungeon tab like usual, and a list of rooms would appear. There, you'd just click on whatever party you'd like to join. I don't know why, but the old system somehow encouraged players to talk to each other, unlike the current Auto Party and go now. I met Reiha through the old party system, where players talked to each other. I always got confused because it almost seemed like they had two personalities. Later on, I discovered that the reason was because there were two people sharing the same account. We'll call them Reiha (F) for female, and Reiha (M) for male. After time, Reiha (F) quit, so I was left with Reiha (M). He was really quirky and always had something weird to say. But through him, I was able to meet another friend; Hak. He was a complete newbie that just joined because Reiha (M) insisted that he should play. By this time, it would've been a complete year since I've started Elsword, and I was still playing my Grand Archer, having the only loop I know be the xx loop. I soon made a Wind Sneaker because I made an excuse to myself that "I could only play Rena". I started Wind Sneaker, and Hak introduced me to his friend, Death. He was a typical rager which I didn't like at all... Eventually, I managed to become his friend somehow, but his rage and saltiness rubbed off on me. This was the time where I became one of the bad players. Yes, I admit that I was one of them; but at least I'm honest. |
Random picture because I didn't know what to put here XP |
Us four; Reiha, Hak, Death and I, joined a guild called [PhantomSpyders]. There, we had a Guild Master that really did connect with his guild mates. Everyone was active and there were random fights every now and then. I am grateful to have joined this guild though, because without it, I would've never learnt how to combo properly. The Guild Master inspired me to play a melee character, whom I chose to be Elsword. I wanted to be different from the guild, where the majority of them were Ravens. There, I learnt how to do the zzz>>^z loop which made me really proud of myself, because I only knew how to xx loop on Grand Archer and do the zzzz>><> loop on Wind Sneaker. The class I played as Elsword, was the dead class Rune Slayer. Yes, for those who didn't know, Rune Slayer was a dead class back then. No one played him because he was mainly only seen as a support. The reason why I chose Rune Slayer, was because along the way, I met the used to be well known xCookiez. He was D rank back then, and just learning to combo like me. We weren't really tight friends, but we knew each other. During my time in making my Rune Slayer, I met a player by the name of MightyNighty. He was an Arabic person, who didn't have really good English, but he was kind and was always willing to help. The name he told me to call him by was Aziz. My saltiness and bad habits died down after meeting him, and I was back to normal. I invited him to [PhantomSpyders] where we could just easily party up and just have fun. He was really quiet when he was with others, but with me, he was always talking... A very shy person he was. I rarely ever saw Reiha on at this time now, and Hak was always dungeoning with Death, so naturally I just played with Aziz; until one day, he just disappeared and ever came back online. After he disappeared,

Death had an argument with our Guild Master, and left the guild to create his own called [BLOODREIGN]. Hak left as well because he was his best friend, and Reiha was never on. I was left alone with a Guild Master that always had some sort of problem that made me depressed every single day; so I decided to follow Hak. By now, 2 years have passed since I've started Elsword. When [BLOODREIGN] was created, Death expanded the guild and made Hak and I go to Ruben to do a random mass guild invite (meaning you go around Ruben, and you invite anyone who isn't in a guild). There, I invited Kami; which I'll admit, he made a horrible first impression on the three of us by acting cocky; but I'll have to say, I just didn't know how to take a joke then. We also invited Kyzael soon after. We often watched Kyzael and Kami fight each other because they were roughly had the same fighting ability. Probably a few days later, Kami left [BLOODREIGN] to make his own guild called [Kikaikishi]. I later met someone called Renki, who wanted to be called by his real name, Cisco. He was almost identical to Aziz, but only that he used a lot more emoticons. Whenever he couldn't answer anything or didn't want to answer anything, he'd always reply to me with "o3o". I quickly became friends with him and invited him to the guild. Death soon got bored of Elsword, and only Hak, Cisco and I were left.

I left [BLOODREIGN] because there was nothing ever going on in there. This was the time period where I just flat out went and tried all the characters, and soon after, Ara was released. I went through the guild applications, and found a guild that just stood out to me. That guild, was [InfiniteCombo], which is now known as the famous guild [Exousia]. This guild was very different from all the others because they had a website, events and had people who actually helped you level up. At that time, I decided to main Ara, and have a PvP skill build. My fighting style was very unorthodox, and I didn't do much damage either; but I was still able to fight like any other member in the guild. I rose up the PvP guild ranks, and became 9th or 7th best player in the guild which shocked many others. That might seem pretty low, but I'll say that it was very high seeming that there were many active players in the guild. It was definitely the most active guild I've ever been in, Eventually, the Guild Master broke up with her boyfriend, and she couldn't cope handling the guild anymore. She made someone else Guild Master, but they couldn't take the responsibility like she did, and it died within 3 days. All the main players left, and eventually the guild was disbanded. (The guild is now back up and running by the name of [Exousia], but I won't return because it's not the same group of friends I had back then. Also because I have my own guild now~ x3)
In [Kikaikishi], it had a completely different atmosphere compared to the other guilds I've been in. It reminded me of [PhantomSpyders] a lot, but a lot more friendlier, livelier and active. There was always someone there willing to talk to you. Everyone knew each other, and it was just an awesome guild in general. In my opinion, it was the best guild I've ever been in. Kami became my best friend, and I he still is to this day. I requested that Cisco would join me in [Kikaikishi]. Because [BLOODREIGN] was a dead guild now, he had no reason to say; so he left and joined me in my new guild. Everything was like a Utopia for a few months, until sadly, the guild broke apart because of two guild members: Ellayannie and Len. They were arguing with each other. Ellayannie left the guild to get away from whom she had a grudge against from the argument, and created the guild [IcyManor]. Everyone was conflicted and tried their best to stay active in both guilds, [Kikaikishi] and [IcyManor]. In the end, people just started to become inactive, and both guilds died. Kami refused to move on, but I couldn't stand a dead guild anymore. Len later started to play League, and Cisco joined him; leaving Kami with his dead guild.

Kami eventually gave in and disbanded [Kikaikishi], and left with me to seek a new guild. We tested many guilds out to see if there were any to our liking. Unfortunately, most of them were duds with inactive people, and nothing really sparked out interest, until we came across the guild [TouchFluffyTail]. (TFT for short) It was a small guild that just started out, and the admin was extremely nice to us; however a few days later, we found out that he committed suicide after severe depression. We stayed there for a good while, but it didn't really feel like home. I told Zensura that I was going to guild hop, but if anything went wrong, I'd come back. Kami didn't want to leave because he had enough of the guild hopping we did, so he stayed there in [TFT] |
I went solo for a good while, maybe for a month or so; until I saw a guild being created ironically called [Renki]. I searched up the Guild Masters name via the guild ad, and saw that his name was KanonKasx. Sadly, it wasn't Cisco, but it WAS a guild that I felt somewhat at home at. I probably stayed there for half a year? During that time, Kas took his main from another guild, and made it the new Guild Master. It's name was DarkRenki. I wanted to have some fun, so I invited the original "Renki" to the guild. Every time someone called "Renki", it'd confuse everyone, and both Renki's didn't know who was talking to them. (Huehue... evilness...) After a while, Cisco got bored of Elsword and wanted to play League. Everyone was alright with that. I left [Renki] because it felt a bit different. It wasn't the same as before. So, I messaged Kas (DarkRenki) and told him that I was going to guild hop for a while, and if anything went wrong, I'd drop by his guild.
During this time it would've been my third year of Elsword. I went back to TFT, and it's vibe was completely different. There were many more active people in the guild who talked. The four main people who I remember now, (excluding Kami) are Zensura, Shinki, Code and Lin. Shinki was the guild pet, and he was just learning how to PvP then. Zensura made me spar with Lin because he wanted to watch a match between the guild's old best PvPer, to the current best PvPer. I won, but I'll say that Lin was crazy hard to beat. Without a doubt, it was a very interesting match. I also fought code, which wasn't too far off under Lin as well. I stayed for a while, but then decided to guild hop once more. Every now and then, I'd stop by [TFT] or [Renki] as a little place to stay, and to catch up on the people who I haven't talked to for a while.
Ultimately because of all my guild hopping, I started to like meeting new people like how it was in old Elsword with the old party system. I came up with the idea of helping new guilds get on their feet and start up. After that, I'd leave them to build up the guild themselves. I know by doing this, it wasn't really fair on some of the guilds, but I really wanted to meet new people and help more guilds grow. By now, this would be my third year ending, and beginning my fourth year of Elsword.
Along the way of my guild hopping, there were three guilds that stuck out to me. They were [RoseGuard], [FierySouls] and [Friendsforlife]. |
[RoseGuard] was a fairly slow starting guild, but eventually got people into it. This was when I just for Illyma to level 70 too. I hosted events, guild spars and gave out freebies to those who needed it. What I found really funny, was that the Guild Master, had a very similar name to mine, which confused everyone so much. His name was Illium. I'll just say that everyone got confused in the guild chat... even us two. I also met someone who I don't know how I connected to... she didn't really do anything in particular; she somehow just connected with me... Her name was OEvangelinaO. I also met her brother who would CONSTANTLY want to spar with me... it was annoying because he was a salty player, but nonetheless, it was really fun fighting him. I've never had someone so persistent to try to surpass me before, even though I'm not good at Elsword. OEvangelinaO though, disappeared without a word. She just went somewhere. It was saddening that I couldn't say goodbye to her. As I said before, I only stayed to help the guild grow. I left, and moved on to find a new guild to help build.
She's so low level, it's cute!! QAQ |
[FierySouls] was a lively guild. Like the name suggested, it was a guild that had a fiery passion when things heated up. I can't remember much of it unfortunately, but all I can remember was that the Guild Master whom I can't remember the name sadly, was very kind. I only have two pictures of this guild, but I will treasure them. One was of me playing as one of my low levels, and I was in their guild. The other was a wedding between two guild mates.

[Friendsforlife] was a very... passive guild? There wasn't much going on, but this guild sure loved to talk. You could easily make friends there. The Guild Master was jessica2. She was fairly an oddball... didn't want to do anything except talk to the guild. Nonetheless, I supported it. Every guild is different, and that was her way of running it. I did meet a really good PvPer there though, whom I still keep in contact with. His name was KresnikDemon. He was a Luciel at the time. He now mains Code Nemesis, and goes by the name of XanaUmbreon. There's a Skype group where I still do contact all of them, but it's nor very active unfortunately.
I went solo for a while, until two school friends of mine wanted to play El with me, which kinda suprised me, seeming that no one really plays it in my school. I made a guild called [Admirals] where it only consisted of us three, Brandos, Derp and me. Together, we all played the Chung Classes, and all having similar names.I was AdmiralMilk with the class of Iron Paladin. Brandos played as a Tactical Trooper by the name of AdmiralTiger, and Derp played Deadly Chaser with the name of AdmiralOppai. After a while, Derp got tied of playing, and went back to console gaming. Brandos went to seek another guild because our Admiral reign days were over.

After a long journey I tried recreating [Kikaikishi] with Kami; however that plan failed horribly... It didn't work, and kept dying. Neither of us had the motivation to build it up again. Maybe it was because it was a guild of the past, and it's era was over. I told Kami to try once more, but with the guild name of something completely stupidly fun. Because he lost motivation and couldn't be bothered thinking of a name, I just told him to make a guild called [Jellyfish], Slowly, we had active people joining the guild, but then it quickly died. He started to lose hope again, and started to not go online anymore He just left me as admin to do my own thing. At this time, my personality was dying. I was very plain and didn't really do much. I spent too much time going solo that I forgot how to talk to people. One day, I said to myself "Okay! I'm going to go on a mass inviting spree, and make those who join this guild feel at home!". I did just that. I started screaming at people being overly hyper about everything, and about nothing. Strangely to my surprise, it worked really well. Everything went sky rocketing up after two guildies joined because they also talked in the guild chat, which made me really happy. They were slashes24 and FriedWaffle. Because of those two also talking in the guild, it encouraged other guild mates to talk as well. At last, it felt as if I wasn't the only sole person screaming things in the guild chat. To Kami's surprise, it was so active that it felt as if the guild didn't belong to him anymore, even though we had sworn that it was our guild. He gave up on his Guild Master title and left me with it. He ultimately quit Elsword and rarely ever goes on anymore, but at least we still message each other. The day right after I was made Guild Master of [Jellyfish]. someone shocked me with a message. It was a very special person who I met long ago.. OEvangelinaO. She said she came back to Elsword from "trying to get a life" which i found pretty funny... I invited her to the guild, and she became my admin because I've known her for the longest, and I know I can trust her. And that's how [Jellyfish] was born and has become how it is today.
I'd like to thank everyone who's helped me come this far, and those who've still stayed as my friend though this long journey. I owe you all.
